27th December  The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles has issued an updated list of the most successful artists of all time with Quo appearing at the number 13 position (from number 14 last year).

23rd December  The "Heavy Traffic" album has been released on Cassette in Thailand (064 435-4).  It has the same track listing as the Continental issue - with no "Money Don't Matter".

12th December  A Quo DVD EP is due for release on the 27th January 2003.  Track details have not yet been announced but it is expected that the EP will be made up of some of Quo's appearances on the German 'Beat Club' TV programme.

5th December  The "Heavy Traffic" CD is due to be released in Japan (UIC01046) on the 12th February next year.

3rd December  "All Stand Up" has entered the Lithuanian FM99 radio charts at number 29.

28th November  A copy of the 'back to back' series CD with the "Whatever You Want" and "Just Supposin'" albums sold for a 100 on the Ebay website.  The CD cost 7.99 on release back in 1991.  

18th November  "Heavy Traffic" went Silver (with apologies - not Gold as originally incorrectly posted) in the UK on Friday - with sales of 60,000 plus (click here for details).

16th November  A CD Single of "Jam Side Down" with "Down Down" from TOTP2 and the CDRom Video has been manufactured in Germany for export purposes (Universal Music TV 019 236-2).

12th November  Quo have donated some autographed pictures and cards to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity auction (click here for details).

10th November  "All Stand Up" has dropped out of the UK charts.

3rd November  The "All Stand Up" CD single entered the UK charts today at the number 51 position.

1st November  All change with the release date for the  "Rocking All Over The Riffs" CD - this has now been put back until November next year.

30th October The release date for the  "Rocking All Over The Riffs" CD has been put back until January.

28th October The new single "All Stand Up (Never Say Never)" was released today.

18th October The video of Quo's Knebworth appearance in 1990 was issued on DVD this week by Eagle Vision ("Live At Knebworth 1990 Parts 1,2 & 3" - EREDV272).  The songs included are (the same as included on the original video release of 1991) - "Whatever You Want", "Rockin' All Over The World", "Dirty Water" and "In The Army Now". 

15th October The planned release date for the  "Rocking All Over The Riffs" CD is the 25th November.

14th October The current chart positions for "Heavy Traffic" are number 74 in the UK charts, number 41 in the Swiss charts, number 80 in the Dutch charts, number 37 in the Danish charts, number 88 in the German charts and number 94 in the Estonian charts.  The version of "Heavy Traffic" available in Poland includes the bonus tracks "In The Army Now", "Fun Fun Fun", "Whatever You Want", "Rockin' All Over The World", "The Anniversary Waltz" and "Roll Over Beethoven" (click here to see picture).13th October The tour programme lists the track listing for the "Rocking All Over The Riffs" album as covers of:- I Fought The Law / Born To Be Wild / Takin' Care Of Business / Wild Ones / On The Road Again / Centrefold / Pump It Up / All Day And All Night plus re-recordings of: Caroline / Rockin' All Over The World / Whatever You Want / Junior's Wailing / Down The Dustpipe.

10th October
The release date for the "All Stand Up (Never Say Never)" CD single (Universal Music 019 147-2) is the 28th October.  The single also includes the previously un-issued Rossi-Young song "You Let Me Down" and a CDRom video of "All Stand Up" from'The One And Only' TV programme

6th October
"Heavy Traffic" has slipped to the number 48 position in the UK charts.

4th October The entry chart positions for "Heavy Traffic" are number 30 in the Swedish charts, number 75 in the Dutch charts, number 36 in the Danish charts, number 21 in the Swiss charts and the best (so far) number 9 in the Estonian charts.

2nd October Universal Music have announced that the next single from the "Heavy Traffic" album is to be "All Stand Up".  "Heavy Traffic" has entered the German charts at the number 35 position.

29th September "Heavy Traffic" entered the UK album charts at the number 15 position.

25th September The BBC (the national TV and radio station in the UK) has a special mini website dedicated to Quo as part of a TOTP2 tribute to the band (click here ).

24th September A limited edition release of the "Heavy Traffic" CD (Universal Music TV 064 794-2) with the "Anniversary Waltz" as a bonus track has been issued in Germany through Media Markt.

23rd September The new album "Heavy Traffic" was released today in the UK.  The latest issue of the Quo fan club (FTMO) magazine includes a 'song by song' review of "Heavy Traffic" and confirms that the forthcoming 'covers' album is to be called "Rocking All Over The Riffs".

18th September According to the rhino website "Blues & Rhythm" is to be the next single.

7th September Rick Parfitt's never released solo album from 1985 "Recorded Delivery" is now apparently available as a bootleg CD.

4th September The first bootleg to include "Jam Side Down" has appeared in Russia (click here to see picture).  The bootleg CD is a 20 track 'best of' compilation.

1st September "Jam Side Down" has now dropped out of the UK charts.

26th August  "Jam Side Down" is number 73 in the European CD Singles chart this week.

25th August  "Jam Side Down" has slipped down to number 44 in the UK charts.  The next single, from the new album, is tipped to be "The Oriental".

22nd August  Another CD Single promo for "Jam Side Down" has been produced with the tracks -  "Jam Side Down" - "The Madness" - "Down Down" - "Rockin' All Over The World" (click here to see picture).

18th August  "Jam Side Down" is now number 25 in the UK charts.

11th August  "Jam Side Down" entered the UK charts today at the number 17 position.

5th August   A two song promo CD Single - with "Jam Side Down" and "Blues And Rhythm" - has been distributed (by Universal Music TV QUO 2) to radio stations (click here to see picture).

31st July  The band started a promotion blitz for the new album following the Ark Royal show yesterday.  The set included the same four new songs from the album - All Stand Up / Solid Gold / Heavy Traffic / Creeping Up On You  - as the BBC show.  "Jam Side Down" is not being issued as a cassette single.

28th July  No change in the set list at the gig in Kent yesterday.

18th July  The UK version of the new album "Heavy Traffic" (click here to see picture) is to feature the bonus track "Money Don't Matter" (Rossi-Young).  Two CD singles are to be released of "Jam Side Down" by Universal Music TV on the 5th August.  The first (catalogue number 019 234-2) is to include the non album track "The Madness" (Parfitt-Edwards) and a CD-ROM video of "Jam Side Down" filmed from the 'Ark Royal' (click her to see advert for the single).  The second (catalogue number 019 235-2) is to include recordings of "Down Down" and "Rockin' All Over The World" from the TOTP2 show from November 2000.  Also a 1 song promo CD Single of "Jam Side Down" (QUO01) has been distributed to radio stations.

17th July  The "Rock 'Til You Drop" album was re-issued in the UK this week as a budget price CD (the catalogue number was the same as the original release from 1991).

7th July  A new Quo compilation budget priced CD "In The Army Now - The Collection" is due to be released in Germany tomorrow by Mercury (063 036-2) (click here to see picture).

6th July  "The Swedish Collection" is now number 28 in the charts and has gone gold.

5th July  Quo's set at the TV filmed concert in London yesterday was Caroline / The Wanderer / All Stand Up / Solid Gold / Heavy Traffic / Creeping Up On You / 4500 Times / Rain / In The Army Now / Roll Over Lay Down / Down Down / Whatever You Want / Rockin' All Over The World.  The TV programme is due to broadcast as part of 'The One And Only' series in September.

4th July  A "John Coghlan from Status Quo" CD album was released in France last month by Warner Bros.  The CD is made up of a selection of songs from the two similar CD albums released in Italy last year by DV More Records.  

28th June The Quo UK tour dates - forty gigs running from the 29th October through to the 21st December - have been announced. 

25th June A five track promo CD Single - for the "Heavy Traffic" album - has been produced by Universal Music with the songs - "Jam Side Down", "Blues And Rhythm", "All Stand Up", "The Oriental" and "Heavy Traffic".  

24th June The 'covers' album is to be released in November (a month after "Heavy Traffic" is to be issued) with 15 tracks.  Five of the tracks are to be re-recorded versions of the Quo songs "Junior's Wailing", "Down The Dustpipe", "Caroline", "Whatever You Want" and "Rockin' All Over The World".  The planned marketing ploy is to package the two albums together in December for the Christmas market.  

21st June According to the latest issue of Classic Rock magazine Quo are to release a third 'covers' album before Christmas.

15th June "The Swedish Collection" is now number 18 in the charts (down from 14 last week).

5th June The first single from the new album is to be "Jam Side Down".  The single is due to be released in early August and is to be previewed 'live' at the NFL Europe World Bowl concert in Dsseldorf on the 22nd June.  The new album is now to feature 13 songs. 

4th June Although the band have been playing "Heavy Traffic" during their sound checks it has still not yet been added to the 'live' set list.

3rd June "The Swedish Collection" is now number 11 in the charts.

22nd May  The new album - "Heavy Traffic" - is now due to be released on the 23rd September and is to be issued by Universal Music.  A documentary about the band (filmed during last year's UK tour) is to be broadcast on TV the same week.  

19th May  The band are looking at including the title track ("Heavy Traffic") from the new album in the set list from the next tour dates in Germany.

18th May  No change in the set list during the recent gigs in France and Germany.  

17th May  "The Swedish Collection" is now number 5 in the charts.

12th May  The UK release of the "Anniversary Waltz" DVD (Sanctuary SDE2011) - due on the 27th May - has a different cover design to the original video and the German DVD issues. 

10th May  "The Swedish Collection" has moved up to number 9 in the charts.

6th May  "The Swedish Collection" double compilation CD entered the charts at number 38.

30th April  A new Quo compilation CD with the title "Rock Collection" has been issued in Russia (click here to see picture).

26th April  Quo's set list from the concert in Barcelona last night was the same as last year's UK tour.

25th April  "Under The Influence" was number 62 in last weeks Estonian CD chart.

1st April  Quo's management have now confirmed that the new album will be called "Heavy Traffic".  The album will feature 12 new (Quo written) songs and will be released in September.

31st March  A new Quo 'best of' double CD is to be released in Sweden on the 24th April by Universal TV.  The title is "The Swedish Collection" (copied from the similar Danish release of last year) click here to see picture.

26th March 
Sanctuary Music Group are to issue the "Anniversary Waltz" video on DVD in the UK in May.  The video (of the anniversary concert at Butlins in October 1990) was originally released back in February 1991 and was issued as a DVD in Germany in August 2000.

25th March  The new album is now to be called "Heavy Traffic" - according to an interview with Rick on a German radio station at the weekend.

23rd March  A new Quo compilation CD "Rock Profile" has been issued in Russia (click here to see picture).  

5th March Quo's new album (still provisionally titled "Never Say Never") is now due to be released in August.

3rd March A third John Coghlan Quo CD has been issued in Italy with the title "Early Years" (DV More Records).  The CD is a compilation of the two CDs released last year (click here to see picture).   

25th February A new Quo compilation CD with the title "Down Down" (Universal 586 757-2) was released in Holland in January.  The CD has the same track listing as "The Essential Status Quo Volume 1".

21st February The Russian Quo MP3 CDROM issued in 1999 has been re-issued with a new cover.  The CDROM includes the following albums: "Spare Parts", "Quo", "On The Level", "Blue For You", "Rockin' All Over The World", "If You Can't Stand The Heat", "Never Too Late", "1+9+8+2", "Back To Back", "In The Army Now", "Ain't Complaining", "Perfect Remedy", "Live Alive Quo", "Thirsty Work", "Don't Stop" and "Under The Influence" -  with a playing time of 11 hours and 50 minutes (click here to see picture).   

13th February The "Swedish Radio Sessions" CD release was cancelled as both Francis and Rick did not feel that the 'live' performance was good enough (click here to see the planned cover).  As Castle Music are still optimistic that Quo will sign to the label - for their new album - they agreed to cancel the release.

10th February  This weeks 'The Life Laundry' programme (on BBC 2 on Wednesday) features John Coghlan.  

8th February  The "End Of The Road" video has been issued on Video 8 (the camcorder sized cassette) by Heron Home Entertainment SYH101 (click here to see picture).

4th February  There is another new 1 track promo CD Single in Spain with - "Roll Over Beethoven". 

28th January  "The Singles Collection 1968-69" box set was released by Castle Music today.  The set includes 7 CD singles in replica sleeves - with a poster (click here to see picture).  Although the set is beautifully packaged at 21.99 (€36) - it is one for collectors only.   

13th January  Quo were in the charts this week - 25 years ago with "Wild Side Of Life", 20 years ago with "Rock N' Roll" and 10 years ago with "Rock 'Til You Drop".

2nd January 2002  Quo's 'live in concert' radio show from 1971 is to be released by Castle Music 'Swedish Radio Sessions' (CMRCD490) on the 11th February.   The track listing is Junior's Wailing / Someone's Learning / Umleitung / In My Chair / Railroad / Roadhouse Blues.
