12th December  The Castle Music 3 CD set the "Complete Pye Collection" (Sanctuary SMETD003) is due to be released on the 19th January 2004 (click here to see picture).

11th December  "Riffs" has dropped down to number 98 in the Estonian album chart.

7th December  After two weeks the "Riffs" album has dropped out of the UK charts.

5th December  "Riffs" entered the Estonian album charts at the number 90 position this week.

4th December  The Dutch 'Loyal Quo' website has an interesting interview with Andy Bown (click here ).

3rd December  The 3 CD "Essential" set from 2001 has been re-packaged with a light green box (rather than the original grey box).

2nd December  The "Anniversary Waltz" DVD is to be given an American release (region 1) later this month by Music Video Distributors with the title "Live Legends" (click here to see picture).

1st December  Castle Music plan to release a 'new' Quo 3 CD set in the New Year.

30th November  The "Riffs" album has dropped down to the number 74 position in the UK charts.

23rd November  The "Riffs" album entered the official UK chart at the number 44 position today.

17th November  The "Riffs" album was released in the UK today and to coincide the latest issue of the FTMO fan club magazine has been published.

6th November  A second "Riffs" promo CD has been issued by Universal Music (RIF1) - with the full album.

4th November  The first CD bootlegs from Quo's UK Winter tour are starting to appear.

31st October  The set list for the first gig of the UK tour (on Wednesday) was - Down Down / Softer Ride / Something 'Bout You Baby I Like / Break The Rules / Don't Waste My Time / Backwater / 4500 Times / Rain / Paper Plane / All Stand Up / The Oriental / Creeping Up On You / Living On An Island / Gerdundula / Caroline / Roll Over Lay Down / Little Lady / Whatever You Want / Rockin' All Over The World - Mystery Song Medley / Junior's Wailing / Rock 'N' Roll Music / Bye Bye Johnny.

27th October  The first copies of the fan club only interview CD set "FTMO Live" were posted out yesterday.

9th October  The Classic Rock 'Quo Special' magazine was published today.

2nd October  A 'Riffs' promo CD has been manufactured by Universal Music (RIF2).  The tracks included are "Caroline 2003", "Rockin' All Over The World 2003", "Born To Be Wild" (with Francis Rossi on vocals) and the "Wild One" (with Rick Parfitt on vocals) click here to see picture.

1st October  The Classic Rock 'Quo Special' magazine is due to be published on the 9th October (click here to see picture).

30th September  Copies of the limited edition compilation LP "Riot Of The Amphetamine Generation", that included the two Spectres' tracks, have now been completely sold out.

29th September  The track listing for the bonus DVD with the "Riffs" CD has now been confirmed as - Caroline (from 'The One & Only') / Roll Over Lay Down (from One & Only) / Whatever You Want (One & Only) / Forty-Five Hundred Times/Rain (Filmed live at Heitere Open Air, Zofingen, Switzerland - August 2003) / Solid Gold (Heitere Open Air) / Paper Plane (from Top of the Pops 2 Special) / All Stand Up (Exclusive unbroadcast version, originally filmed for Top of the Pops) / Rockin All Over The World (Taken from Top of the Pops 2000th Edition) / Jam Side Down (Promo Video).

20th September  The latest Quo fan club 'FTMO' magazine is due to be posted out to members next week and will include an order form for a second "FTMO Live" CD (click here to see picture).

16th September  The "Don't Stop" CD album is to be given a 'budget price' re-issue (with the same catalogue number) on the 6th October.

8th September Initial copies of the "Riffs" CD are to include a bonus DVD.

7th September Quo were in the charts for this week -  35 years ago with "Ice In The Sun" (22), 25 years ago with "Again And Again" (23), 20 years ago with "Ol' Rag Blues" (24) and 15 years ago with "Running All Over The World" (30).

6th September The Cooper Owen 'Rock Legends' auction on the 25th September includes a guitar used by Francis Rossi during the recording of the "Rockin' All Over The World" album.  Bidding is expected to reach the 4,000 - 5,000 range (click here for details).    

5 September The provisional release date for the "Riffs" album is the 17th November.

4 September Roy Lynes (Quo's organist from 1965 to 1970) has confirmed that the two Spectres' tracks included on the "Riot Of The Amphetamine Generation" compilation LP are genuine and that the songs were recorded in January 1966. 

15th August  A limited edition (of 400 copies) various artists LP compilation with the title "Riot Of The Amphetamine Generation" is due to be issued on the 18th August - with supposedly two very early demos recorded by The Spectres.  The tapes have apparently been provided by the John Coghlan and the songs are "Love In Vain" and "Say That You Need Me" (click here for details).

2nd August  An American 47 track Quo 'best of' compilation 3 CD set "Ultimate Collection" is due to be released on the 12th August (click here to see picture).

29th July  Yet another copy of the 'back to back' series CD with the "Whatever You Want" and "Just Supposin'" albums has sold for 100 (140) on the Ebay auction website. 

28th July  The Caste Music CD re-issues of the "Dog Of Two Head" and "Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon" albums were released today.  Both CDs included previously unissued recordings from BBC radio sessions as bonus tracks.

27th July 
A Status Quo CD compilation - "Popstars Of The 20th Century" - has been issued through the German Bertelsmann book club.  The CD has the same track listings as the Dutch "Classic Status Quo" CD and the German "Millenium Edition" CD (click here to see picture).

27th June  Classic Rock magazine are planning a 'Quo Special' to link in with the 'Riffs' tour later this year.

18th June  Quo are again supporting the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity auction (click here for details).

9th June  The release date for the Castle Music CD reissues is to be the 28th July - with the BBC radio session recording bonus tracks being "Down The Dustpipe", "Junior's Wailing", "Spinning Wheel Blues" and "Need Your Love" to be included on "Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon" (CMRCD754) and "Mean Girl and "Railroad" to be included on "Dog Of Two Head" (CMRCD755). 

6th June  Castle Music are planning to issue remastered versions of the "Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon" and "Dog Of Two Head" albums - with a number of bonus tracks in a similar way to the CD releases in April.

30th May  The latest copy of Quo's cancelled 7" single "Technicolor Dreams" that came up for sale on the Ebay auction website was sold for 750 (1,030) yesterday.

29th May  Universal Music have issued (yet another) 'best of' Quo CD compilation in Sweden - "12 Klassiker" (077 298-2).

23rd May  The recent 2CD re-issues of the albums "Picturesque Of Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo" and "Spare Parts" are to be released in Japan on the 25th June.

14th May  Another Quo budget priced compilation CD with the title (yet again) of "Tune To The Music" (Delta Music 47205) is due to be released on the 19th May. 

9th May  Universal Music are again looking at the possible re-mastering and issuing on CD of the band's albums from 1973 - 1986 although no final decision has yet been made.

29th April  The excellent Quo website 'The Makers Of' (click here ) has published the latest top twenty Quo song chart - with the top 10 being:- 1) 4500 Times 2) Caroline 3) Paper Plane 4) Big Fat Mama 5) Roll Over Lay Down 6) Down Down 7) Rain 8) The Oriental 9) Whatever You Want 10) Don't Waste My Time.   

28th April  The Caste Music CD re-issues of the albums "Picturesque Of Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo" and "Spare Parts" were released today.  Both CDs are nicely packaged and the POMMFTSQ CD included a number of previously unissued tracks from BBC radio sessions but at 15 (25) they are expensive.    

26th April  A copy of Quo's withdrawn 7" single "Technicolor Dreams", from back in 1968, was sold on the Ebay auction website for 330 (481) yesterday.

24th April  Francis & Rick's (joint) autobiography is to be published by Sidgwick & Jackson. The book is being co-written with rock biographer Mick Wall and is due to be published late next year (to coincide with the 2004 UK tour).

16th April  The latest issue (Vol 7 No: 2) of the fan club magazine 'FTMO' has been mailed out.  The issue includes a review on the release of the "Heavy Traffic" album and an interview with Simon Porter - together with advance notice of the UK tour dates.

11th April  Another (new) Quo budget priced compilation CD "Best Of Early Years" (METRCD103) is due to be released on the 14th April (click here to see picture).  

2nd April  The Quo Ticker website has a good interview with Bob Young (click here ).

1st April  Quo have recorded a new version of "All Stand Up (Never Say Never)" to celebrate the start of the NFL Europe League (of American football) season.  The song lyrics have been re-written and the new version features British rap star D-Mack.  Universal Music have manufactured 1,000 copies of the single to help promote the league.  To download a MP3 version of the song - right click here and select the 'save target as' option (with the kind permission of Universal Music).

20th March  The two albums "Picturesque Of Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo" (CMEDD 718) and "Spare Parts" (CMEDD 717) are to be be given the remastered treatment and issued as double CD sets on the 28th April.  The CDs will include both 'mono' and 'stereo' versions of the original album tracks - together with bonus tracks.  Included within the bonus tracks are BBC radio session recordings of "Spicks And Specks", "Judy In Disguise (With Glasses)", "Pictures Of Matchstick Men", "Things Get Better", "Ice In The Sun", "Make Me Stay A Bit Longer", "Gloria", "Black Veils Of Melancholy" and "Bloodhound" - "I Don't Want You", "Almost But Not Quite There" and "Spicks And Specks" (as The Traffic Jam) - "Gloria" and "Neighbour, Neighbour" (as The Spectres).

19th March   The set list for the current German tour is the same as on last year's UK tour but with a German version of the 'Heavy Traffic' intro tape.

10th March   The "Intergalactic Touring Band" album has now been released on CD (Voiceprint VP251CD).  The various artists sci-fi concept album was originally issued back in 1977 and included Francis and Rick singing vocals on the track "A Planet Called Monday". 

6th March  A promotion copy of the "(We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet" single, from 1967, for sale on on the Ebay auction website has now reached over 250 - with 21 bids so far.

25th February  The "Heavy Traffic" album was released in America today to coincide with the start of the band's American tour (click here to see picture).

18th February  The Japanese release of "Heavy Traffic", issued last week, included "Money Don't Matter" as a bonus track.

9th February  The "Heavy Traffic" album is to be released in America on the 25th February on the small subsidiary Universal Music label Hip-O Records (064 435).  The track listing is the same as the continental version - with no "Money Don't Matter".

8th February  A budget priced compilation Quo CD with the (very original) title of "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" (Camden 828765019323) is due to be released on the 24th February in the UK.

7th February  Another copy of the 'back to back' series CD with the "Whatever You Want" and "Just Supposin'" albums has sold for nearly 100 on the Ebay website. 

27th January  The Quo DVD EP was released today.  Although the DVD is over an hour long - it is really made up of just the three tracks ("Are You Growing Tired Of My Love", "Technicolor Dreams" and "Spinning Wheel Blues") from the band's appearances on the German's TV show 'Beat Club' (click here to see picture).

21st January  Universal Music in Holland have issued (yet another) Quo 'greatest hits' CD compilation.  The CD has is called the "Hit Story" (063 363-2) and has 21 tracks.

12th January  The "All Stand Up" single is still progressing in the Lithuanian FM99 radio chart - up to number 11 this week.  From a retro point of view January has been a good month for Quo in the UK singles chart -  for this week of the year the band were number 40 (in 1973) with "Paper Plane", number 3 (in 1975) with "Down Down", number 11 (in 1977) with "Wild Side Of Life", number 79 (in 1979) with "Accident Prone", number 17 (in 1980) with "Living On An Island", number 14 (in 1981) with "Lies", number 13 (in 1982) with "Rock N' Roll", number 3 (in 1984) with "Marguerita Time", number 27 (in 1987) with "Dreamin'", number 11 (in 1989) with "Burning Bridges" and number 19 (in 1991) with "The Anniversary Waltz Part 2". 

9th January  A new Quo 4 CD compilation "The Ultimate Collection" is available from Time Life.  The release is being supported by TV advertising and is made up of the usual singles - plus a selection of album tracks.  The two singles from the "Heavy Traffic" album are also included together with previously unreleased recordings of "Caroline" and "Rain" from Quo's appearance on TOTP2.
