21st December The latest issue of the fan club magazine 'From The Makers Of....'(Vol. 8 No.2) has been published - with interviews with the band covering the recent releases and this year's tours.

20th December "Thinking Of You" has entered the Lithuanian FM99 chart at the number 27 position.

19th December Details of the Re-Mastered album CDs have now been announced - with 6 albums being released by Mercury on the 31st January 2005  ON THE LEVEL (982 591-0 bonus tracks "Down Down" 7" single version, "Roll Over Lay Down", "Gerdundula" & "Junior's Wailing" from the 'Live EP' and "Roadhouse Blues" from the 'Rockers Rollin' CD box set), QUO (982 594-0 bonus track "Lonely Night"), HELLO! (9825942 bonus track "Joanne"), STATUS QUO LIVE! (982 597-2 double CD with the songs placed in the order that they were performed during the 'live' recordings), BLUE FOR YOU (982 597-6 with the bonus tracks "You Lost The Love", "Mystery Song" 7" single version, "Wild Side Of Life", "All Through The Night" and a previously un-issued demo recording of "Wild Side Of Life") and PILEDRIVER (982 597-7 bonus track "Don't Waste My Time" 'live' from the Reading Festival in 1973) and five albums to be released by Mercury on the 7th March 2005 IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE HEAT (982 594-1 with the bonus track "Accident Pone" 7" single version), NEVER TOO LATE (982 584-3 with the bonus track "Rock N' Roll" 7" single version), JUST SUPPOSIN' (982 596-7 bonus track "AB Blues". Also includes the track "The Wild Ones" that had been omitted from the CD release in 1991), WHATEVER YOU WANT (982 596-8 bonus track "Hard Ride", "Bad Company", "Another Game In Town", "Shady Lady" (demo version), "Rearrange" and the edited 7" single version of "Living On An Island". 18th December The 15th December issue of the Belgian newspaper 'Laatstte Nieuws' included a Quo compilation CD "Het Beste Van Status Quo" (click here to see picture).

13th December "Thinking Of You" has dropped to number 73 in the UK charts.

5th December "Thinking Of You" has dropped to number 50 in the UK charts.

28th November  "Thinking Of You" entered the UK charts at the number 21 position.

22nd November  The "Thinking Of You" single was released today.

5th November  The forthcoming single "Thinking Of You" has been added to the set list.

1st November  No change in Quo's set list at the start of the UK tour in Cardiff last night.

20th October  The release date for the 4 DVD 'Live Aid' set is now to be the 8th November.

18th October  The "XS All Areas" DVD is this week number 4 in the UK Music Video & DVD chart.  The "XS All Areas" CD has dropped out of the UK chart but is number 84 in the German charts.

17th October  Quo's "Dog Of Two Head" album from 1971 is due to be given the vinyl re-issue treatment by the Italian Earmark label - with a release date of the 2nd November.

15th October  The release date for the "Thinking Of You" single is now to be the 22nd November.

11th October  This weeks UK chart positions are - "XS All Areas" CD number 57 and "XS All Areas" DVD number 2.  "You'll Come 'Round" has dropped out of the UK singles chart.

6th October  According to the 'XS All Areas' Tour Programme a DVD of Quo's  appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival, in Switzerland, is to be released.

4th October  The next single has been confirmed as "Thinking Of You" (from the "XS All Areas - The Greatest Hits" CD).  The single is due to be released on the 1st November - as a 7" Picture Disc with a 'live' medley of "Something 'Bout You Baby I Like" and "Break The Rules" and as a CD/DVD single with the "Mystery Song" medley and an interview plus videos of "Thinking Of You" and "You'll Come 'Round".  The 'live' recordings are all from Quo's appearance at the Montreux Festival in July this year (click here to see picture).

3rd October  This weeks UK chart positions are - "XS All Areas" CD number 41, "You'll Come 'Round" number 48 and the "XS All Areas" DVD entered the 'Music DVD & Video chart' at the number 2 position.

2nd October  There was no change in the setlist at the start of Quo's 'XS All Areas' tour in Karlsruhe Germany.

27th September  The "XS All Areas" DVD was released today.

26th September  The "XS All Areas" CD entered the UK charts at the number 16 position.  "You'll Come 'Round" dropped to number 28 in the UK charts.

20th September  The "XS All Areas" CD was released today.

19th September  "You'll Come 'Round" entered the UK charts at the number 14 position.

16th September  John Coghlan's book 'Coghlan & Quo' is due to be published on the 1st October by Aureus Publishing Ltd (click here to see the press release).

13th September  The "You'll Come 'Round" single was released today.

1st September  The 4 DVD 'Live Aid' set due to be released on the 1st November by Warner Vision International is to include Quo with "Rockin' All Over The World" and "Caroline".

31st August  The new Quo DVD "The Ultimate Anthology" (DVDLTD DVDL024) released this week includes as well as a selection of songs taken from the "Anniversary Waltz" DVD - the footage from Quo's appearance on the Granada TV programme 'Doing Their Thing' in 1970.  

28th August  Francis Rossi's and Rick Parfitt's autobiography 'XS All Areas' is serialised in the Daily Mail newspaper today and on Monday and Tuesday.

27th August  The release date for the 'XS All Areas' DVD has been put back to the 27th Septmber.

12th August  The release date for "You'll Come 'Round" has been confirmed as the 13th September.  The single will be available on CD and as a 7" vinyl picture disc (click here to see picture).  The 'XS All Areas' (greatest hits) 40 song 2CD collection is due to be issued on the 20th September.  The compilation includes both "You'll Come 'Round" and (another new song) "Thinking Of You".  In addition a DVD with the same title is to be released on the 20th September.      

19th July  Yet another copy of Quo's ultra rare "Technicolor Dreams" single has been auctioned on the Ebay website.  This copy went for £320 (490) at the weekend.

27th June  The "Anniversary Waltz" DVD is to be re-issued (yet again) on the 30th August - with the title "The Ultimate Anthology" (DVDLTD DVDL024).

26th June  Quo's next single is to be a song called 'You'll Come Around' due out on the 13th September.

22nd June The 3 CD 'Essential Status Quo' set is available in Spain with a different box design (click here to see picture).

18th June  A book about John Coghlan's years as a member of Quo - with the title 'Coghlan & Quo' - is due to be published by Aureus Publishing on the 1st October (click here to see picture).

17th June  The release of re-mastered Quo albums from "Piledriver" through to "Never Too Late" has been put back until January next year.

14th June  Another copy of the Quo/Black Sabbath promo single was sold on the Ebay auction   website yesterday - with the bidding reaching 225 (340).

9th June  The release of the "Live Legends" DVD was put back until the 7th June.

29th May  The latest edition of the Status Quo fan club magazine 'From The Makers Of' has been published.  The magazine confirms that the release date for the forthcoming 'XS All Areas' 'best of' CD compilation is to be the 20th September.    

28th May  The Belgian Quo 'Loyal Family' website has a good interview with Francis Rossi (click here ).

21st May  The band are planning to include two or three new songs (one of which is to be issued as a single) on the forthcoming 'greatest hits' CD compilation.  After Quo's next album - Francis Rossi is planning to record a second solo album for release in 2006.

20th May  Universal Music are planning to release (yet another) 'greatest hits' Quo CD in September - to link in with the publication of Francis Rossi's and Rick Parfitt's autobiography 'XS All Areas'.

19th May  Little Egypt have been plugging away at the BBC Radio 2 presenter Steve Wright and he gave them a mention on last week's TOTP 2 show.  The band would welcome fans sending encouragement to him  (click here for details) to appear on one of his shows.

18th May  The next Quo album to be given the vinyl re-issue treatment by the Italian Earmark label is "Ma Kelley's Greasy Spoon" (42033) - due out on the 7th June.

17th May  The American release of the "Anniversary Waltz" DVD - "Live Legends" - issued last year is due to get a UK release on the 24th May (click here to see picture).  The catalogue details are Classic Rock Legends CRL1053.

15th May  Francis Rossi is writing new material with Bob Young again - for the band's next album due in the Spring of 2005.

10th May  Another copy of Quo's ultra rare "Technicolor Dreams" single has been auctioned on the Ebay website and was sold for 410 (630) at the weekend.

6th May  Details of Quo's 2004 UK tour have been mailed to fan club members.  

3rd May  Quo's "Spare Parts" album is due to be re-issued on vinyl by the Italian Earmark record company (EAR 42032) next week.  

2nd May  The Quo/Black Sabbath promo single was sold for 330 (500) on the Ebay website..

27th April  The Norwegian Quo CD has now moved up to the number 16 position in the charts.

24th April  A copy of the very rare Quo/Black Sabbath 7" promo single is being auctioned on the Ebay website (click here for details).  Only 100 copies of the single were pressed by the record company, back in 1972, to promote Quo's then new album "Piledriver" and a Black Sabbath album.

23rd April  The Norwegian CD compilation has moved up to number 18 in the charts.

17th April  A new Quo compilation - "Rockin' All Over The World - Best Of" - was released by Universal Music (584748 2) in Norway on the 5th April.  The CD is currently number 20 in the Norwegian charts.

28th March  The copy of the "Technicolor Dreams" single on Ebay sold for 821 (1,220).

26th March  Universal Music are planning to issue the re-mastered CDs for September.

22nd March  A copy of Quo's withdrawn "Technicolor Dreams" 7" single, from 1968, is available on the Ebay website.  The highest bid so far is £360 - with five days to go. 

21st March  The publication date for the forthcoming Francis Rossi & Rick Parfitt autobiography is shown on the Amazon website as the 3rd September 2004.  The book is 400 pages long and is being published by Sidgwick & Jackson. 

20th March  The latest copy of, the long deleted, "Perfect Remedy"  CD to come up for sale on the Ebay auction website has sold for the more down to earth price of £31 (46 Euros).  

9th March  Plans have been announced to release the 'Live Aid' charity concert of 1985 on DVD (click here for details).  Quo opened the event with the songs "Rockin' All Over The World", "Caroline" and "Don't Waste My Time".

25th February  The Cooper Owen 'Rock Legends' online auction on the 26th February again includes a guitar used by Francis Rossi during the recording of the "Rockin' All Over The World" album (click here for details).    

24th February  In a survey for the TV station Channel 4 Quo were listed as the 20th best selling singles artist in Britain, over the last 50 years, with total sales 6,727,822.

6th February  Universal Music have (at long last) decided to issue the the early Quo albums recorded for Vertigo records on CD.  The intention is to issue the ten studio albums (from "Piledriver" through to "Never Too Late") in two batches of five.  With each album being issued with bonus tracks and pull-out booklets.  An audit of the label's Quo master tapes is being carried out to see whether there is any further un-issued material (that was not included on the "Rockers Rollin'- Quo In Time 1972-2000" CD set).   

20th January  The latest CD set of early Quo material - "The Complete Pye Collection" - was released yesterday.

3rd January 
A new double Quo CD compilation "Star Boulevard" (Polydor) is due to be released in Germany on the 5th January (click here to see picture).  The CD will initially only be available through the Schleckler chemist chain before being given a general release in February. 

2nd January  The "Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo" album was re-issued on vinyl by the Italian label Earmark (EAR 42026) in December.
