Another Quo 'best of' CD compilation - "The Status
Quo Story" (Mercury 9836134) - is to be released on the 13th February 2006.
20th December A promotion copy of the Quo single - in their Spectres'
days of 1967 - "(We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet" was sold on Ebay this week for
£265
(€390).
14th December The "Under The Influence" album is to be re-issued
by Nobel Price (223169-205), with a new
cover design, in Germany as a budget priced CD on the 19th December (click here
13th December The next batch of Quo re-mastered albums are to be released
on the 30th January.
28th November The 3 CD Set "The Ultimate Collection" from 2003 is being
issued, by Universal Music, in the UK on the 16th January 2006.
25th November A new Quo book - La Route sans fin - is to be published by Camion Blanc, in
France, on the 10th December (click here
14th November The new single has dropped to the number 69 position in the
UK chart this week. "The Party Ain't Over Yet... - 40 Years Of Status
Quo" DVD entered the UK Music DVD chart at the number 3 position.
12th November A guitar donated and signed by the band is to be auctioned
at a charity night, for cancer research, at the New Walton Hall Club in
Hull on the 17th November.
9th November The concert on the 10th December in Birmingham is to be
filmed for a possible 'Live in Concert' DVD release next year.
6th November "All That Counts Is Love" entered the UK
charts at the number 29 position.
31st October The new single - "All That Counts Is Love" - was released
today.
13th October The Details of the new single - "All That Counts Is Love"
- have now been announced. The single will be available as two CDs - one
with "I Ain't Ready" and the second with 'live' recordings of "Belavista Man"
and "The Party Ain't Over Yet..." recorded in Emden, in Germany, on the 30th
September 2005.
10th October Both the new single and album have dropped out of the UK
charts.
7th October The new single is to be "All That Counts Is Love"
with a planned release date of the 31st October.
2nd October UK chart positions this week were album number 53 and number
57 for the single.
29th September The new album entered the German charts at the number 19
position and the Swedish charts at the number 17 position.
27th September The new album entered the Swiss charts at the number 21
position.
25th September The new album entered the UK charts at the number 18
position and the single dropped to the number 27 position.
24th September The first of the 2 CD - "Status Quo & Friends - 40th
Anniversary Souvenir" - set with the Mirror newspapers was published
today. The CD included 'live' recordings of "Rockin' All Over The World",
"Whatever You Want", "Break The Rules" and "Roll Over Lay Down" from the band's
concert in Liverpool on the 23rd July 2005. The CD also included a medley
from the new album with "The Party Ain't Over Yet...", "All That Counts Is
Love", "Gotta Get Up And Go", "Belavista Man", "The Bubble" and "Goodbye Baby".
The second CD is published tomorrow (with the Sunday Mirror newspaper) and
includes the album medley (again) together with 'live' recordings of "Down
Down", "Caroline", "Something 'Bout You Baby I Like" and "Rain".
23rd September The 'live' set list now includes the new single and "Belavista
Man" - together with a new (currently every changing) encore medley with "What You're Proposing",
"Down The Dustpipe", "Little Lady", "Rockers Rollin'", "Red Sky", "Dear
John", "Big Fat Mama" and "In My Chair".
22nd September A new double DVD set - "The Party Ain't Over Yet... - 40
Years Of Status Quo" - is due to be released on the 7th November (click

21st September The Time Life 4 Quo CD "The Ultimate Collection" set, from
2003, has been re-issued.

31st August A new Quo 2 CD compilation "Keep On Rockin'" (MCDLX015)
is due to be released on the 26th September. The CDs are made up of
material from "Heavy Traffic" and the 'covers' albums (click here
28th August The Mirror newspaper issue of the 24th September and
the Sunday Mirror issue of the 25th September are to include free '40th
Anniversary Quo' CDs - each will include 4 songs and a trailer for the new
album.
27th August Details of the different formats for "The Party Ain't
Over Yet" single have now been confirmed. The CD single will include the
new song "I'm Watching Over You", the 7" will include a 'live' version of "Gerdundula"
and the DVD single will include both mixes of the song (click here
11th August "The Party Ain't Over Yet" has moved up to the
number 6 position in the Berlin Radio
chart.

27th July Francis Rossi's and Rick Parfitt's autobiography 'XS All Areas'
is to be published in paperback form on the 2nd September.
25th July Universal Music has now started work on the next batch of
Status Quo re-mastered albums. These are to be "1+9+8+2" (with 4 bonus
tracks), "Live At The N.E.C." (as a double CD with the full set), "Back To Back"
(with 8 bonus tracks), "In The Army Now" (with 7 bonus tracks), "Ain't
Complaining" (with 6 bonus tracks), "Perfect Remedy" (with 6 bonus tracks),
"Rock 'Til You Drop", "Live Alive Quo", "Thirsty Work" (with 5 bonus tracks),
"Don't Stop" (with 5 bonus tracks) and "Famous In The Last Century" (with 3
bonus tracks).
21st July The Official Quo website has now announced the release of
the new single and album. Promotion copies for the album (SANPR389) and the
single have been issued to radio stations.
18th July The Amazon website shows that Quo's new studio album is
to be called "The Party Ain't Over Yet" (Sanctuary SANCD389) and is to be
released on the 19th September. The title song is to be issued as a single
on the 12th September (with a CD version SANXS400, a DVD version
SANDX400 and a limited edition 7" version SANSE400).
25th June The German website for Sanctuary records shows the
release date for the new Quo album as the 19th September.
21st June The 'A Day In The Life' documentary is to be released on
the 25th July by Classic Pictures Entertainment (DVD8058X).
20th June The CD set 'Now And Then', available through the Tesco supermarket group,
has entered the UK album charts at the number 49 position.
12th June A new 'singles compilation' DVD 'Down Down' (Universal 982
870-0) was released in Holland at the end of May. The DVD is made up of 16
Quo videos - including "Accident Prone" (click here
9th June The latest rumours (unconfirmed) are that the new
studio album - due to be released by Sanctuary in September this year - is to
have the title 'SQ 40'.
8th June A budget priced Quo 3 CD set 'Now And Then' has been
issued by Crimson (CRIMBX55) through the Tesco supermarket group.
23rd May An excellent Quo bootleg DVD 'Boogie - Then And Now' has
been manufactured on the continent. It features 'The End Of The Road'
concert from 1984 and the Montreux concert from last year (click here
18th May The "Inside Status Quo 1968-1991" two DVD set was released
on Monday.
10th May Another copy of Quo's ultra rare "Technicolor Dreams"
withdrawn 7" single
from 1968 has been auctioned on the Ebay website. This copy went for 318 (465)
yesterday..
3rd May Sanctuary have re-issued the "Anniversary Waltz" DVD this
week.
26th April Quo have signed a recording contact with Sanctuary
Records and are recording material for a new album due to be released in
September.
17th April Details of the UK Winter Tour dates have been sent to
members of the fan club.
11th April The release of the "Inside Status Quo
1968-1991" DVD has been put back until the middle of May.
29th March The 'Classic Status Quo - The Universal Masters DVD
Collection" DVD released in Scandinavia last month has this week been issued in
the UK.
