28th December  The new album is now at the number 30 position in the  UK charts.

22nd December  Nine weeks in the UK chart for the
"Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" album now.  This week it has again moved up a few places and is now at the number 27 position.

20th December
 A white label test pressing of the band's "Dog Of Two Head" album was sold for £255 (326 euros) on the ebay website this week.

15th December  The new download only single "Pictures Of Matchstick Men", from the "Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" album was released today.  The b-side is "Pictures Of Matchstick Men (London Mix)" (

14th December  The
"Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" album has moved up a few places, in the UK charts, and is now at the number 29 position.

13th December 
Quo's concert in Birmingham (tonight) is to be given the Live CD (with download option) treatment.

17th November  The latest issue of the FTMO magazine has been sent to members of the fan club this week.  The magazine includes an interview with the band covering the recent Roundhouse concert and a report on the summer concerts. 

16th November  The album is now at the number 22 position in the UK charts.

15th November  The next single, from the "Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" album, is to be  "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" - which is to be released on the 15th December.

10th November  The
"Aquostic (Stripped Bare)"album is now at the number 14 position in the UK charts.

2nd November  The album is now at the number 8 position in the UK charts. Other chart positions are Switzerland - 4, Austria - 33 and Germany - 37.

26th October  The album entered the UK charts at the number 5 position.

21st  October  The latest issue of the FTMO magazine has been sent to members of the fan club this week.  The magazine focuses on the new album.

20th October  The "And It's Better Now" download only single and the UK CD album version of "Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" were released today.

17th October The European version of  "Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" was released today.  The standard CD included 22 tracks - with a collectors version including a bonus 7" vinyl single with "Mystery Song" - "Little Lady" / "Claudie".

25th September  Quo are to play an 'acoustic' concert at the Roundhouse in Camden, London on the 22nd October.  The concert is being filmed and broadcast by the BBC.

14th September  The "Frantic Four's Final Fling" CD entered the UK album charts at the number 34 position.

12th September The next single "And It's Better Now", from the "Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" album, was previewed on Radio 2 last week and has been posted on the youtube website (
click here).

9th September  The first single to be released from the new album - "Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" - is to be "And It's Better Now".  Which is also to be released on the on the 20th October.  The box set version of the album is to include the CD, a t-shirt, a mouse mat, 7-inch vinyl single, 7 pictures and poster.

8th September  "Frantic Four's Final Fling - Live At The Dublin O2 Arena" and the "Status Quo Live" box set were released in the UK today.

6th September  The release date for the re-mixed "Rockin' All Over The World" album has been put back until early next year.

1st September  The Official Quo website has announced that a new album - "Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" - is to be released on the 20th October.  The album is made up of 25 acoustic recordings from Quo's back-catalogue and will be available as a CD, vinyl (2 LP) set and as a box set (

11th August
 The "In Search Of The Fourth Chord" 2 LP set was re-issued in Germany today (Earmusic 209686). 

8th August  The release date for the "Frantic Four's Final Fling - Live At The Dublin O2 Arena" is now to be the 8th September.

1st August  The 4 CD "Status Quo Live" release is to be issued on the 8th September.

19th July  The FF's 'last' concert, in Dublin on the 12th April, in to be issued on DVD and Blu-ray with the title "Frantic Four's Final Fling - Live At The Dublin O2 Arena" on the 1st September (
click here to see the cover). In addition the concert is to be released as a 2 LP vinyl set and a 2 CD set.

15th July  The "In Search Of The Fourth Chord" album is to be re-issued on vinyl in Germany by Earmusic on the 11th August.

3rd July  A new Quo bootleg 7" single 'At The Marquee 1972" is available on the Ebay website.  The single is made up of the audio for the widely available TV filmed "Paper Plane" and "Don't Waste My Time" (

8th July  The release of the 4 CD 'Deluxe Box Edition' of the "Status Quo Live" album (to include the "Tokyo Quo" album and the previously unreleased "Australia '74" from a soundboard recording of the band's concert in Sydney on 20th November 1974) and the re-mixed "Rockin' All Over The World" album are now planned for September - following completion of the licensing agreements.

7th June
 A copy of Quo's very rare cancelled 7" single "Technicolor Dreams" from 1968 was recently sold on the Ebay auction website for £467 (575 Euros).

1st June  A new 7" live bootleg vinyl single is available on the Ebay website.  It includes "Little Lady" with "Rockin' All Over The World" as the b-side (both recorded at Quo's appearance in Dortmund, Germany on the 28th May 1982).

22nd May  A vinyl bootleg album of Quo's concert in Stockholm, Sweden in November 1971 is available from the Ebay auction website.  The concert has never been officially available yet (although there were cancelled plans to release the recording in February 2002 on CD) and is available on either white or red vinyl.

13th May 
The CD re-issue of the "Live At Montreux 2009" album (Osprey OPYCD104) was released yesterday.

20th April  The vinyl album issues of "Tokyo Quo" and "Pictures - Live In Switzerland 2009" were released yesterday.

2nd April  Two further Japanese 12" picture disc bootleg singles are available on the Ebay website - "Caroline" (
click here) and "Lies" (click here).

1st April  Universal are to release a limited edition (of 1,500 copies only) vinyl issue of the "Tokyo Quo" album (3739863) on the 19th April.  The album was originally released in Japan in 1977 and has never before been released in the UK.  The release is part of 'Record Store Day' and will be available in a number of selected record shops only.

31st March  The "Piledriver" album re-issue entered the UK charts at the number 90 position.

24th March  The "Piledriver" album deluxe re-issue was released today.

19th March

10th February 
Demon records are releasing a double vinyl album of Quo's concert in Montreux on the 19th April - "Pictures - Live In Switzerland". The album set is a limited edition (of 1,000 copies) release and is on white vinyl.  The recording was originally released on DVD in October 2009 as "Pictures - Live In Montreux 2009".

29th January  Two new Japanese 12" picture disc bootleg singles are available on the Ebay website - "Break The Rules" (
click here) and "Whatever You Want" (click here).

13th January  The "Piledriver" album is to be re-issued on CD on the 24th March (Mercury 3766019).  The release is a double CD set - including two BBC radio sessions and the 1973 BBC in concert recording.  The release of the 4 CD 'Deluxe Box Edition' of the "Status Quo Live" album (to include the "Tokyo Quo" album and the previously unreleased 'live' in Sydney Australia on 20th November 1974 recording) and the re-mixed "Rockin' All Over The World" album are scheduled for June release.
